This is a stand-alone RIAA equalization preamplifier for turntable cartridges.

- It could be operated both with MM and MC cartridges, with signal levels of 1-10mV (MM) and 0.2-1.0mV (MC) recommended
- No additional circuit stages nor any additional electronic parts in the signal path when using MC cartridges
- Uses only discrete components instead of operational amplifiers or any other integrated circuits.
- Uses Solid State Triodes for amplification formed by JFET stages and passive RIAA equalization.
- No feedback topology
- The goal of the overall design was to show the most of the subjective dynamics, detail, and subtlety while keeping the natural flow and atmosphere of the music intact.
- You can even switch one of the amplifier stages to a real vacuum tube to evoke the feel of the classic vacuum tube sound.

Our Phono 23 Reference uses very high quality components:

- Jantzen Alumen coupling capacitors
- Audio Note Kaisei and Kemet electrolytics capacitors in power supplies
- Amtrans AMCH copper foil capacitors in RIAA equalization network
- Audio Note non-magnetic Tantalum resistors everywhere
- Furutech alpha copper conductor RCA and IEC mains socket
- Amtrans OFC gold plated tube socket
- NOS ECC86 tube
- Hammond filter chokes
- Direct silver plating on entire surface of the printed circuit board
- Triad Magnetics toroidal transformers

Passive power supplies using filter chokes

- Separate transformer and quasi dual-mono supply circuits for amplifier stages
- Separate transformer for vacuum tube heater and IR receiver
- Separate transformer for lighting

- With the supplied remote you can control the vacuum tube mode and the lighting.
- Unit comes with a separate power supply.
